Paprika Marinated Pizza | A Quick Fix

PIZZAA aahhhaa !!! - who does not like it.  Well once mastered pizza making at home you will always relish it and crave for homemade personalized versions I BET.

Well for me the love of making pizza at home from a scratch started in USA. First reason, you easily get a cheese pizza where ever you go, being a vegetarian after a time you get bored of it and if you do find gourmet pizza outlets then the toppings are fully raw as if a salad tops a pizza, its OK to try out once in a while explore these options. Secondly, the ease of cooking range with built in ovens here offer you a chance to experiment hands-on baking options.

I experiment different types of pizza at home all from a scratch sometimes, and if in a hurry with a store bought base too. The toppings also vary as per the ingredients I easily find in my home. So each pizza is different from the previous one each time. I was planning to go grocery shopping instead had to drop the plan as had some guests over in a short notice. It was nearing dinner time as we chatted over some tea and snacks and believe me this was my quick fix instant pizza as these were the only things readily available at home. So let's see how I managed a homemade quick fix pizza with just few handy ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
For marination-
1 onion
1 bell pepper
paprika powder
dry oregano seasoning
dry Italian seasoning
salt

Pizza base - store bought
ketchup OR any pizza sauce
sliced olives
cheese - any variety grated version
black pepper
oil for greasing tray

Plating accompaniments-
crushed red pepper flakes
ketchup

PROCEDURE :  CHOP - MARINATE - SPREAD - BAKE - RELISH
1) Firstly preheat the oven at 350 degree celcius and then proceed. Slice onions and bell peppers.

2) Take a bowl, marinate the sliced onions and bell pepper with paprika powder, and the dry herb seasonings. DO NOT PUT SALT else the marination will ooze water, add a pinch salt just prior to adding it to the pizza base.

- using this quick fix store bought base today.

3) Take pizza base, this time i used a store bought pizza base, apply maggi hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce OR handy Ketchup you have at home OR any pizza sauce ( your preference ). I used this brand as it is little bit sweet, spicy, tangy tomato sauce.
( OPTIONAL STEP - you can omit if you want ) Apply some grated cheese to form a base, not much.

4) Spread the marinated mix over the pizza.

5) Top it with sliced olives.

6) Sprinkle good amount of grated cheese, and top it off with black pepper powder.

7) Oil / grease the baking tray properly. Transfer the pizza to the baking tray.

8) Bake pizza for 15 - 20 minutes OR until done.

9) Cut pizza slices and serve.

FINAL PLATING
Paprika marinated pizza is ready to be enjoyed... The crispy base and the fresh marinated veggies make it to the perfect crunch and the goodness of olives and cheese just melt in your mouth. Do go ahead and indulge adding more cheese if you like. Sprinkle some red chilli flakes ( optional ) and serve it with ketchup of your choice.
