Spicy Masala Idli

"MASALA IDLI" and that too SPICY... yeah !!!
I like it spicy with loads and loads of fresh cilantro and a good amount of crunchy tempering to it.

It's also one of my quick fix recipe and a one pot recipe too whenever I have leftover idli's OR khatta dhokla's. Sometimes I purposely make more of these to have some leftover to enjoy it over the weekend as a quick n easy breakfast menu with garma garam pudina adrak chai / hot fresh mint ginger tea.

And today begin the reason for a quick fix breakfast... guess why ???
It's T20 match between India and Australia ...

Being Indian, Cricket is much popular just like some different Nation kinda thing. It is so close that people pray, emote, vouch, bet, be or break on each ball being thrown, hit, and caught at. It can be said the fanism runs in our family too. You are simply mesmerized and everyone is so stuck to the TV. Nothing seems more serious in real time than a match being played and the viewers watching them be it Live in the stadium or in your home with family and friends or even if you are watching it somewhere outside. This scene is the same everywhere. I am sure you guys can relate to me in that true Cricket fan spirit.

We had soft and warm idli's for friday night with coconut chutney and podi / gun powder.

I made a batch extra, 3 stacks / 12 idli's and stored in the refrigerator for a Quick weekend breakfast. Believe me pre-planning is the key for these weekend match quick fixes as everyone is glued to that idiot box that day and you too do not wanna miss that zeal and fun going on.
